CVC Project Group Activities

The interdisciplinary project groups within the Commercial Vehicle Cluster focus especially on activities with practical relevance. Specific problems of technical, scientific and organisational practice are processed together and the synergies of linking various areas are used efficiently.

Organisation

Access to project groups and to the results of their work is reserved for CVC partners. This is to guarantee the competitive advantage for the partners. A non-disclosure agreement mutually signed by the partners of the CVC guarantees this confidentiality, thus ensuring an open relationship between the groups.

A group manager from one of the companies involved manages each project group. The group manager receives technical support from a representative of a scientific institution. The specific work of the groups is accomplished in regular meetings at the companies engaged within the group as well as within companies and institutions before and afterwards.

This interdisciplinary linked-up constellation leads the project groups to a pronounced efficiency in processing technical problems within the commercial vehicle industry and participating companies and institutions.

The Project Groups

Four project groups have established themselves within the CVC at present. Those groups are: Reliability/Robustness, Manufacturing Process, Materials and Supply Chain Management. Each of these groups works on individual problematic issues within the relevant areas. The results of this work are other projects and surveys which deal with the wider, in-depth aspects of a problem. A protected forum for the safe exchange of information is available for each group in the internal section of the CVC-Portal.
