Benefits for CVC partnersThe Commercial Vehicle Cluster offers partner companies numerous advantages over competitors. Benefits in the areas of qualification, research and development and public relations work deserve a particular mention. QualificationCVT - „Commercial Vehicle Technology“The initiative to establish the independent Masters Degree course “CVT - Commercial Vehicle Technology“ at the Kaiserslautern University has made it possible for the CVC to provide its partners with substantial advantages in the sector of qualification. The initiative is a joint undertaking of the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the Department of Computer Sciences, incorporating universities from other federal states as well as the cooperation with Oregon State University USA, which enables a student exchange.
Research and development
Further advantages for the cluster partners are generated through co-operation with universities. Apart from dealing with relevant topics in the project groups, these and other topics can be worked on further and in-depth in the environment of the universities.
Cluster partners have the final say:In the cluster, we can discuss new ideas openly yet still between ourselves. How do others solve the same problem? I find the project work in the cluster especially exciting. Focusing on new recruits, we find the co-operation with renowned universities interesting. ‘Going it alone’ is difficult in our industry. The demands are high. We are a member of the cluster because we need allies. Our company is too small to attend the important trade fairs of the industry but effectively we are always there because of the cluster. |
